Hallo and welcome to the Just Pizza PizzaMaker for 2009
As you can see from the PizzaMaker page we have recently updated our PizzaMaker to one that has a much improved ceramic stone. Not only is the stone better the colour of the PizzaMaker is now a cheerful red colour - great for winter cooking!
We also found that most people did not bother with the deep dish that was attached to the previous black PizzaMaker - after a few uses this they banished to the bottom of the pantry! So providing you with a PizzaMaker version with an improved stone which remains fixed and cooks an even better pizza than before made a lot of sense.
You can see the Just Pizza PizzaMaker on line or visit our store at 40 Tarndale Grove, Albany, Auckland, at the home of Wild Appetite. The Just PizzaMaker is also sold at selected stores - please phone 0800 88 9453 for a store near you.
If you are planning to visit the Gluten Free Show in Auckland in May or the Food Show in Auckland in August you can see the Just Pizza PizzaMaker in action. We will be there with Wild Appetite.
This summer if you are entertaining outside think about having a pizza party rather than a BBQ party - it's quicker, cheaper and more innovative. Great idea for birthday parties for kids - teenagers as well.
Try the latest craze and make a heap of mini pizza bases - delicious and fast for cocktail parties.
Toppings? Just use your imagination - and your pantry and fridge. Anything goes - leftover meats, summer vegetables, salami, cheeses such as mozzarella, parmesan or cubed feta, tuna or chicken, smoked salmon or seafoods; for greens use baby spinach, spring onions, rocket, thyme, parsley, basil .. .. And why not invent a fruit dessert pizza with roasted cinnamon peaches topped with sour cream.
Lately we have been buying a yummy gluten-free pizza base from Venerdi from the supermarket chiller and it is delicious cooked on the PizzaMaker. These need to be cooked on number 3 of the PizzaMaker gauge as the heavier flours requires more heat - still cooks in five minutes though!
Do try making your own pizza dough it's easy and cheap - use a yeast based mix or a scone dough.
If you have any special pizza recipes we'd love to hear about them. Let us know and we'll put them on our news page.
In the meantime happy cooking - and eating!
